'Guò zǎo means having breakfast in Wuhan dialect.  It is the dialect that brings Wuhan furthest on the national map of China.   Wuhan may be the earliest city to wake up. Because in Wuhan, breakfast is the most important agenda of the day.  Having a substantial breakfast become a habit of Wuhan people due to the port culture influence – people use to get up very early in the morning for port labour.   Among different kinds and styles of breakfast, the Hot Dry Noodles and the Doupi are the hottest ones.   Because of the variety of breakfast choices, the street food stands are scattered everywhere in Wuhan. Wuhan well deserved the name of “city of breakfast”.'
