One of the main reasons that cats succumb to urinary tract infections is because of the toxic chemicals found in commercial pet food. They aren’t always listed in the ingredients because most countries have no laws regulating this, as they do for our own food. But what you may see, in the list of ingredients, is a mention of preservatives and/or antioxidants. Those used in the pet food industry are typically synthetic (ie chemical) and include BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole), BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene), ethoxyquin, proply gallate, propylene glycol, sodium nitrate and various others. All these are all know to cause organ damage, including damage to the kidneys, leading to chronic disease and destruction.
